A TASTE OF THE LANGUAGE
Useful words.
Real situations.
These examples show the kind of language you can practise. They are free samples, not a full lesson.
- Dobar dan.
- Good day. / Hello.
- Zovem se Petra.
- My name is Petra.
- Kako se zovete?
- What is your name? (formal)
TRY A SMALL TASK
Put it into practice.
Introduce yourself in three short sentences, then ask the other person their name. Focus on clear meaning before speaking quickly.
How progress can be reviewed
Learning can be reviewed through short role-plays, guided speaking, simple written tasks, and a review of recurring difficulties. These activities help identify further practice needs; they are not an accredited examination or a guarantee of a particular proficiency level.

Do I need to know any Croatian?
No. Foundations is the starting course for people who are new to Croatian. If you already know some basics, mention that when you email Petra.

One two-hour live online Croatian lesson. It is not the price of the entire multi-lesson course. The number of lessons and full programme cost are agreed from your learning plan.
What do I need for an online lesson?
A reliable internet connection, a device with a microphone, and a quiet place to speak. A laptop or tablet and headphones can make the lesson easier. The platform will be confirmed before booking.
How are the lessons scheduled?
Email your preferred dates, times, and time zone. Petra confirms a mutually suitable slot in writing. No fixed timetable or automatic reservation is implied.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Yes. With at least 24 hours’ notice, choose a full refund or free rescheduling. For late cancellations and emergencies, read the full cancellation and refund policy.
